Bianca- the rockstar; best friend; humanitarian; lady with integrity; clown; the old soul with a heart of gold;.....the legend.
This incredible lady was brought into my world in November of 1998. She was celebrating 9 years clean and I was listening as she shared her amazing journey in recovery, one moment at a time. It was then that I knew I must ask this lady to sponsor me. You see I was in the process of looking for a new sponsor
(I had 2 1/2 yrs clean at this time and outgrew my old sponsor). So to make a long story short this is how Bianca and I met. Not only was she my best friend and
soul mate, but she was my NA sponsor. There will never be anyone like her.
Through our 4 1/2 years together she saw me through an illness and some of the most unbelievable times of my life and during all of "my stuff" she was going through her own
personal HELL!!!!
Bianca, you taught me the true meaning of friendship and most of all you showed me how to believe in myself and in turn to trust in mankind which is something that was taken from me at a very early age. I learned that B and I came from very similar backgrounds as children. She is and always will be the only one who truly understands me.
Bianca's appearance can be somewhat intimidating at first but once again another lesson learned....Do not judge a book by its cover!!!! She was not at all like she appeared to be. That "Billy-Bad-Ass" image was just that-an image!!!! I lived with her for quite some time and she was a person who felt
a lot. She was sensitive; caring always for others and putting everyone
else's needs before her own. She didn't like to be alone. Loved her animals (these were her world), her friends and her music. She was totally blessed with her artistic/musical talents. She was the most determined force on the planet. The phrase "I can't" did not exist in her world. Not only did her talents lie in art/music but also in the kitchen. This girl could cook and was forever baking. She loved to cook for lots of people-the more the merrier!!!!!
B-you walked like you talked and I want to be just like you when I grow up. Little did I know that day I asked you to sponsor me that my world was going to have magic and rainbows in it. This is what you brought to me among other things and for this I thank you.
I'll close with this:
You were there when I needed you, B. You stood above all of the others with your strength and you guided
me.
To you, I offer my being, my love and all that I am...
I miss you.
I love you.
Always 'n' Forever
